The talent required to fully grasp a skill, such as being a concert violinist, requires much practice, dedication, perseverance, and time. Through this long, tedious process, the presumably deaf girl has to overcome all odds in order to be a concert violinist. Not only does she need to deal with deafness and muteness, she has to deal with school bullies, especially one girl who is a pianist. The adversity she faced in school, such as being shoved or pushed around, made her feel different and she did not understand the motive. Moreover, her father figure, the male street performer, was brutally assaulted by a group of gangsters and this gang also destroyed the deaf girl’s violin. This Pantene commercial focused on overcoming all odds.
At the concert hall, the pianist played very well and probably thought she won, not realizing that the deaf girl’s violin was taped back together for her greatest performance at the concert hall. While one would think that the sound of the violin would be off key, since the violin is only held together by tape, the entire room resonates with the beauty of the tones that emanates from the taped violin. The violin had been through much abuse, much like the young woman playing, yet it still was able to produce amazing sound at the hand of the even more amazing violinist. The young, deaf, mute woman joyously played her defective violin. The fact that the violin was only held together by tape did not stop the young woman from achieving her dream: performing on the stage of a great concert hall.
Great work, obviously well revised
